Planning weddings feels a bit like second nature to me—equal parts passion and purpose.

I’ve always been drawn to both creativity and organization, and I genuinely find joy in bringing a couple’s vision to life with care, style, and lots of heart. Whether I’m building timelines or choosing the perfect shade of linen, I pour myself into every detail to make each celebration feel like you.

My path into events started with a degree in Leisure and Events Management, but what truly shaped me were the experiences—working with inspiring planners and being part of so many real love stories. Over time, I found my own rhythm, my own voice, and that’s how MOAYA was born.
Today, it’s just me—Yara—behind it all. With every wedding, I bring together everything I’ve learned and everything I love, crafting celebrations that are as personal and layered as the people at the center of them.

The birth of Moaya Events

My love for travel has always shaped the way I see the world. I’ve been lucky enough to live in places like Tanzania, the Netherlands, and Bali—each experience leaving a mark on me, expanding my perspective, and deepening my appreciation for life and connection.

Somewhere along the way, I stumbled into the enchanting world of French weddings and instantly knew I had found something special. That’s when MOAYA started to take shape—a name that blends parts of my own, Yara Ramona, with pieces of the languages and cultures I hold close. Moya, from Swahili, means soul or spirit, and Maya, from Indonesian, means magic.

Together, they express exactly what I hope to bring into every celebration. MOAYA is more than just a brand to me—it’s a reflection of my journey, my creativity, and my love for exploring what makes each story unique. Every wedding I plan carries bits of the places I’ve seen, the people I’ve met, and the belief that thoughtful details and meaningful moments are what truly make magic.

For bespoke Wedding Planning, I recommend booking at least 12 months before your envisioned wedding date to ensure ample time for thorough planning. Elopements, being smaller in scale, typically require less planning time, but securing vendors 12-6 months in advance is advisable. For services such as Vendor Search, Styling & Design, and Content Creation, I can typically start immediately if I am available.

Can we customize our package to fit our specific needs?

Of course! I am more than happy to tailor my services to your specific needs. Simply send me your request along with a few details, and I'll be happy to discuss everything further during our first personal meeting.

What does your Content Creation service include?

My Content Creation service is all about capturing the behind-the-scenes magic of your wedding in real time. Using a phone-first, documentary-style approach, I create authentic, emotional snippets — from happy tears and candid laughter to the little details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive ready-to-share content to relive and share the day instantly — while waiting for your professional photos and films.

What services do you offer?

I offer a range of wedding and event services. However, while I provide support across many areas, my main focus lies in Wedding Planning and Content Creation. I truly enjoy the balance between the two — taking on a select number of planning projects each year allows me to give every couple my full attention, while content creation beautifully fills the season with creativity and storytelling. Together, they let me pour my best time, energy, and care into each celebration.

Do you also do destination weddings?

Yes — that’s actually my specialty! While I’m based in France and primarily work with international couples dreaming of an unforgettable celebration in this enchanting country, I’m also delighted to plan and coordinate weddings in other beautiful destinations around the world.

Do you provide on-the-day coordination?

Absolutely! The bespoke Wedding Planning Service includes on-the-day coordination for your event, ensuring everything runs seamlessly. If you're a meticulous planner and already have everything organized and well-planned out, entrusting someone else with the responsibility and coordination on your special day is also an option I can accommodate. We'll work closely together to ensure that every detail is accounted for and coordinated professionally, allowing you to relax and enjoy your celebration to the fullest.

Are you available for consultations before we book your services?

Yes, I typically schedule an initial call to get to know each other better, discuss your vision for the event, and ensure that we're a perfect match. Following this, we will proceed with finalizing the agreement to move forward with the planning process.
